Company Established

Catalina Aircraft was founded with a mission to revive and modernize the legendary PBY Catalina aircraft for modern-day amphibious applications. Built on the legacy of the original WWII-era seaplane, the company aimed to provide rugged, multi-role platforms for missions in remote, water-rich regions where conventional aircraft fall short.

2008

First Modernized Catalina Amphibious Aircraft Delivered

Catalina Aircraft achieved its first major milestone with the delivery of the newly enhanced Catalina 2008 model. Incorporating upgraded avionics, reinforced hulls, and turboprop engines, this version was certified for both civilian and governmental use, launching a new era in amphibious aviation.

2015

Strategic Partnership with Global Rescue and Firefighting Agencies

Recognizing the growing demand for rapid-response amphibious platforms, Catalina Aircraft signed global partnerships with emergency, firefighting, and humanitarian organizations. The Catalina aircraft became a preferred solution for aerial firefighting, medical evacuation, and disaster relief missions across Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.

2022

Launch of the Next-Generation Catalina II

Global Support & Sustainment Network Established

To ensure full lifecycle support for its expanding fleet, Catalina Aircraft established a global MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) and parts distribution network. This milestone enhances fleet reliability and operational uptime for clients operating in isolated coastal, island, and jungle environments.
